History + Mission

Started by musician, hairdresser/make-up artist Yolande Carson in 2006, scissors paper rock is a true Salon….in every sense of the word.

” ….a gathering of people under the roof of an inspiring host, held partly to amuse one another and partly to refine the taste and increase the knowledge of the participants through conversation.”

Scissors paper rock has hosted an annual Acoustic Summer Concert Series, Open Mic, Art Exhibits and Pop Up Shops. In support of local and global charities over the years, they have collected shoes, hair clippings (yes hair clippings) toys and gifts for the Holidays and held “Cut-a-thons” and “Day of Beauty” events.
